We have not been getting enough responses for the awards selection (Most helpful, most friendly, etc.). Do download the form here, fill it in and attach it to the email listed in the form (normala.iiu@gmail.com). YOU CAN SELECT ANYONE IN THE FOURTH YEAR WHO FITS AND DESERVES THE AWARD. The person may not be someone who attends the dinner. But the prize will go to the lucky draw if the person is not there. Hurry. You have till Friday the 12th.


YEARBOOK

Fourth Year Students, please fill in the template which you can find here, fill it in and attach it at the same email ASAP!!!!!! We need to collate stuff and send it to the printers by end of month! Also, if you want to submit any creative writing pieces (fiction or non-fiction) for the yearbook, you are welcomed to do so ya?

Salam and hello everyone!

The currently ongoing exam week has been putting a strain on all of us, I know. Some students are already done with their papers (lucky devils!) while the rest of us are still going nuts studying for our next paper/s! Well, if you’re looking for something to look forward to after the tedious and strenuous exams, sign up for the dinner!

Ponder no longer though, there are only 7 seats left as we speak! So do secure your seats immediately. How? Just go to DELL, see Kak Eda, fill in the form and pay the fee! That’s it and you’re good to go!

Note: each seat costs RM100 yea, but don’t be alarmed by the price tag, the food+atmosphere+memories that comes with it are priceless!

MOST LIKABLE PERSON AWARD - there is simply nothing you hate about this person. He/She embraces Transcendentalism to the core!

BEST TEAM-WORKER AWARD - “Teamwork is essential - it allows you to blame someone else”.

THE NUMBER ONE TEACHER'S PET AWARD - loves giving his/her teachers exotic pets at the end of the semester - iguanas, peacocks, cobras, pangolins, pandas, koalas, etc.

LIVELIEST CHARACTER AWARD - so full of life even in deep sleep. Suffers from oxygen overdose. Feed him/her Benadryl and he/she behaves like Red Bull.

MOST MISCHIEVOUS STUDENT AWARD - By the time this award is announced, he/she would have played pranks on almost all of the dinner guests.

SUPERHERO AWARD - an all-rounder in everything, including saving a screaming damsel from being attacked by cockroaches, mosquitoes or ants.

KIM POSSIBLE AWARD - the female version of the superhero. Saves men from being attacked by IIUM stray cats, dogs and vampires.

Hear ye hear ye!


Announcements Regarding Dinner.

1. There are still a few seats left, so those who are still thinking about it, think no longer. Hurry along to DELL where K Eda awaits your arrival.

2. Rooms are available at the Hotel for RM230 twin sharing and RM200 single. Share with a few friends and stay over IF and only IF you don’t have a paper on Saturday! Call the hotel and mention the dinner and the name of Puan Aleeza. She’s in charge of Sales there. If you still have problems, go and see K Eda or Dr NO.


Regarding the Yearbook 2010/11

All those graduating this sem, next sem, and Sem3, pls fill in the form (click here) and attach it the email stated in the form! Do not send it elsewhere. Please hurry, as we would like to produce this by December.


COMMITTEE NEEDED FOR THE YEARBOOK: to download from email, compile stuff, write stuff, get people to write creative stuff, get pictures, get together with us, get a certificate of appreciation (maybe a small stipend too or gift). After some discussion with the publisher, we have cooked up some great ideas for the yearbook! But there's only one issue, it cannot be thin

So I call upon everyone GRADUATING in this semester, next semester and in semester 3 to submit your entries for the yearbook! With all your friends' photos inside and the memories it evokes, it will be the book you'll cherish until your hair starts turning grey!

1.   Creative writing pieces (fiction/nonfiction) from any of you to spice up  the book.

2.   Possibly a few creative volunteers are needed to put the stuff together.  Volunteers (you may form a team), do drop by Dr Normala’s office or  SMS to 0192623491 or email at normalao@yahoo.com.  You must be able  to work overnight and at short notice for about two weeks.

3.  Pictures of our students over the years, pictures of the campus, of the  mahallahs, or whatever pictures that you have of IIUM in your collection.
